The Jesuits first came to Guyana, South America in 1857. Since then, we have been involved with serving the Church and people in all areas of this beautiful but remote country: in the capital Georgetown, along the Atlantic Coast, and among the Amerindians in the interior. Today we are also to be found in parishes, schools, in a Human Development Centre in Port Mourant, and assisting the work of the Regional Seminary in Trinidad. This web site will be a new platform to learn more about our work which, like Jesuits all over the world and throughout our history, we do FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD and the service of His people.
